Why can’t I prepare a travel in the mobile app for a carnet with a very large list of goods?

If your carnet contains a large number of items (more than 2,000), the ATA Carnet App may prevent you from preparing the travel.


This is due to a performance and stability limitation of the mobile application, which is designed to handle up to 2,000 items in the General List.


What should I do? You should use the ATA Carnet Desktop (ACD) instead:

Once completed:

  • The travel will automatically appear in your mobile app
  • You can then use your smartphone at Customs to present the transaction QR codes

This approach allows you to complete the data-heavy preparation step on a computer while still using the mobile app for border transactions.
