When Customs commits a transaction, the transaction is recorded in the ATA Carnet System and the holder or representative receives a transaction notification through ATA Carnet App or ATA Carnet Desktop..
Will I also receive an email?
If the Issuing Association provided a holder email address when issuing the carnet, a transaction notification may also be sent to that email address.
The email recipient is determined by the holder email address recorded on the carnet at issuance.
If no holder email address was provided at issuance, there is no holder email address recorded on the carnet to which this notification can be sent.
What if the holder email address is incorrect?
If the carnet is still in Issued status, contact your Issuing Association as soon as possible. Depending on the applicable procedures, the Issuing Association may be able to correct the situation before the carnet is activated.
Once the carnet has been Activated by a committed Customs transaction, the holder email address recorded for that carnet can no longer be changed. Subsequent email notifications continue to use the address recorded at issuance.
The transaction notification email is different from:
• the notification displayed in ATA Carnet App/Desktop;
• the transaction displayed in History; and
• the transaction receipt available for a committed Customs transaction.
