What happens if I lose my digital ATA Carnet or mobile device?

Modified on Fri, 9 Oct at 11:56 AM

If you lose your phone, tablet or computer, your ATA Carnet is not lost.

Digital ATA Carnets are stored in the ATA Carnet System and are not tied to a single device. You can continue using your carnet from another compatible device.

How can I regain access to my carnet?

You can:

  • install the ATA Carnet App on another device; or
  • access ATA Carnet Desktop; or
  • download the carnet again using the Carnet ID and PIN provided by your Issuing Association.

The carnet data, transaction history and prepared travels remain available in the ATA Carnet System

Do I need a replacement or duplicate carnet?

No.

Unlike paper carnets, a digital ATA Carnet cannot be physically lost. In most cases, you simply access or download the carnet again from another device.

What should I do if I cannot find my Carnet ID or PIN?

Contact your Issuing Association for assistance.
